A full hand wash, decontamination, and finish for the outside of your car. We get the paint truly clean — wheels, glass, trim and all — and leave it protected with a fresh coat of sealant.
What this service is
The Exterior Detail covers everything you can see from the outside. We hand wash the body with a two-bucket method, work the wheels and tires, clean the glass inside and out at the door jambs, and treat plastic trim. After a clay decontamination pass, we lay down a sealant so water beads off and dust has a harder time sticking. It's a good standalone service if your interior is already clean, or a great pair with the Interior Detail to get the full job done in one visit.

How is this different from a drive-through car wash?+
A tunnel wash gets the loose dirt off, but the brushes can leave swirl marks and they don't touch your wheels, jambs, or trim. We hand wash with two buckets and clean clay, so the paint actually feels clean afterward — not just looks clean.
Will the sealant fix scratches or swirl marks?+
No. A sealant adds protection and gloss but doesn't remove defects. If you've got swirls or light scratches, you'd want a paint correction step, which falls under our Full Detail or a separate quote.
How often should I get the exterior detailed?+
Every two to three months is a solid rhythm for daily drivers in the Kansas City area, where we deal with road salt in winter and pollen plus storms in spring. Show cars and garage queens can stretch it out longer.
Do you do the exterior in winter?+
Yes, weather permitting. If temps are well below freezing or we're in active snow, we'll reschedule. Late winter washes to get the road salt off are some of the most useful details you can do for your paint.
Can you handle bird droppings or hard water spots?+
Bird droppings and bug splatter come off in our normal wash. Hard water spots and severe etching depend on how long they've been there — sometimes the clay step handles them, and sometimes it takes a polish. We'll let you know what we see when we get there.
